About Iceland

Erlendur Fashion Week Iceland represents more than just a fashion event; it celebrates cultural diversity within the fashion industry. Our mission is to provide a dedicated platform that celebrates and showcases the richness of various cultural influences, both local and international, in the realm of fashion by bringing together a diverse array of designers, both local and global, as well as industry professionals and fashion influencers. Highlighting the unique cultural identities and perspectives expressed through fashion. We are excited to announce that we are collaborating with Whales of Iceland and the Reykjavik Maritime Museum.

The event will feature an extraordinary catwalk show at Whales of Iceland and the Icelandic Fashion Timeline Exhibition hosted exclusively at the Reykjavik Maritime Museum. This exhibition offers a curated showcase of iconic fashion designs and the evolution of fashion within Iceland throughout the years. By collaborating with local designers, artists, musicians, photographers, celebrities, and cultural institutions, we ensure authenticity and community involvement in the exhibition.

Come to Iceland experience its countless waterfalls, each more breathtaking than the last. From the mighty Gullfoss, whose thundering cascade plunges into a rugged canyon, to the graceful beauty of Seljalandsfoss, where visitors can walk behind the curtain of water, Iceland's waterfalls are as diverse as they are awe-inspiring.

Beyond its natural beauty, Iceland is also a land steeped in history and culture. From its ancient sagas and Norse mythology to its vibrant arts scene and thriving music industry, Iceland's cultural heritage is as rich and diverse as its landscapes. Visitors can explore the colorful streets of Reykjavik, with its quirky cafes and avant-garde galleries, or venture into the countryside.

The Land of the Midnight Sun (and Northern Lights)

Iceland's unique position near the Arctic Circle means that in summer, the sun never truly sets, bathing the landscape in an ethereal glow known as the "midnight sun." Meanwhile, in winter, the dark skies come alive with the dancing colors of the Northern Lights, a spectacle that draws photographers and stargazers from around the world.

Whether you're hiking across glaciers, soaking in hot springs, or traversing lava fields on a rugged 4x4 excursion, Iceland offers endless opportunities for adventure.

So pack your bags, lace up your boots, and prepare to be enchanted by the magic of Iceland. Adventure awaits!
